Where do our important files live?
On one computer’s desktop, a shared drive, personal cloud folders, email attachments — or all of the above?
Know where your important data lives — and whether you could actually get it back.
Many small businesses believe they are backed up because something was set up years ago. EMAPAR reviews where your files really live, whether backups are running, and what would happen if a computer, drive, or account failed — then helps close the gaps.
If any of these make you pause, a backup review is worth it.
On one computer’s desktop, a shared drive, personal cloud folders, email attachments — or all of the above?
An external drive that has not been plugged in for months, or a backup service whose payment card expired, protects nothing.
Would the business lose files, customer records, or the only copy of the bookkeeping file?
If the person who set up the backup is gone, does anyone know how to get the files back?
A clear picture of your data and a practical plan to protect it.
Backups and file storage are part of every Tech Health Check. The review looks at file storage, backups, cloud tools, and business-critical systems, and the action plan tells you which gaps matter most.
If the gaps are clear, the Business Tech Cleanup includes up to 6 hours of hands-on work to fix them — moving files into shared locations, setting up or repairing backups, and documenting how to restore. With Tech Care, backups are part of the regular check-ins, so they don’t quietly stop working again.
EMAPAR handles backup reviews remotely where possible and on-site in Land O’ Lakes, Wesley Chapel, Lutz, and nearby areas when local devices need a look.

See plans →Not exactly. Sync services copy changes everywhere — including deletions and files damaged by ransomware. They are a good place to keep files, but they are not the same as a separate backup you can restore from.
The only real proof is a successful restore. A backup review checks that backups are running, what they include, and whether files can actually be recovered from them.
They keep your data available, but their built-in retention has limits. Whether you need a separate backup depends on how your business uses email and shared files — the review covers that.
Small setups are where backups are most often missed, because there is no IT person checking them. A review for a few computers is quick and usually points to simple fixes.
Much of it can. Cloud accounts and backup services can be reviewed remotely; external drives, office servers, and local devices may need an on-site visit.
